Responsibilities include: working with multibarriered low income and TANF families, barrier identification and strong knowledge of community resources to address family stability, establishing SMART goals and develop customized employment plans, use of a detailed tracking process including using excel and the CHIMES system, job search assistance with a strong knowledge of local training programs and labor market, and budgeting/financial literacy assistance. The successful candidate must be able to professionally manage crisis jointly with the client/family in an objective and non-judgmental manner, and be open to constant change. Career Training Institute (CTI), a private, non-profit organization, was founded in May 1983 to meet the employment needs of women in the community. In response to the demands of a changing workforce, CTI's services have since expanded to include all adults, youth, and business enterprises. The Business Resource Center at CTI opened in June 1998 as part of an effort to match workforce development with enterprise development.
